Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's suspended Chairman, EFCC has arrived at the Department of State Services facility.
After his suspension was announced, the service invited him to do this.
However, Peter Afunanya, the service spokesperson, did not specify when Bawa arrived in a statement on Wednesday night.
Afunanya clarified that the subject of his invitation was "investigative activities concerning him."
The statement read:
“The Department of State Services has invited Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Bawa arrived a few hours ago. The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.”
Bawa has been the subject of numerous allegations in the past.
In a May interview with BBC Hausa, the former governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, said that Bawa wanted $2 million in bribes from him.
Likewise, in February the Kogi state government blamed the EFCC drove by Bawa for being a "pawn in the possession of political rivals in a bid to fulfill specific political interests."
