Rauf Aregbesola, a former Interior Minister, says he will always be grateful to former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Tinubu for the political successes he achieved.
This was said by Aregbesola at a civic reception in Oyo town on Sunday that Concerned Muslim Scholars and Clerics in South Western Nigeria held in his honor.
He claimed that Buhari and Tinubu were responsible for the accomplishments that enabled the lavish reception that he received today.
Aregbesola claimed that Tinubu helped him become governor of Osun State and served as a mentor to him in Lagos State.
He claimed that Buhari was responsible for the establishment of the Nigeria Immigration Service Passport office, the office for firefighting, and the Agro Ranger office in Oyo town—for which he was praised by the public—and that he was acting on his behalf as the Minister of Interior.
“I would like to believe that the two individuals I mentioned should receive greater appreciation if any appreciation and gratitude could be shown to me.
Aregbesola stated, "Without their support, it would be pretty difficult for me to achieve the height I am now and be able to render the service to good people of Oyo."
He stated that the Oyo Town residents had graciously hosted a reception for him, for which he was extremely appreciative and honored.
