Nigerian talented singer, Davido talks about how he almost sold the Rolls Royce owned by his billionaire father to fund his music career.
He said in an interview with ABtalks that his father, Mr. Adedeji Adeleke, wasn't willing to support his music career financially, so he decided to break into his father's Atlanta, USA, home to sell several televisions.
Davido said;
“So I blew up, remember I said that I told him I wanted to move back, but he disagreed. I ended up dropping out, he found out that I wasn’t in school for like a year."
The DMW boss said that this had happened when he was just starting out in the music business. He claimed that he had expressed his desire to return to Nigeria to his father but that he had refused.
He then took matters into his own hands and sought a means of funding.
He claimed that one of the "crazy means" he used to fund his music ambition was to almost sell his father's Rolls-Royce after selling off the TVs.
I sold all of his old furniture and TVs after breaking into his Atlanta home. I almost sold his Rolls-Royce because I thought, "Yeah, I want to do this music," but he wouldn't let me, so I thought, "You know what?" I'm just about as crazy as that."
