Following the rising tension caused by the military actors attempting to take over in Niger, the decision was made by the ECOWAS at an urgent meeting.

This significant move is seen as a strong response to the junta's recent rise to power, which has caused a lot of unrest in the country and threatens regional stability.

The ECOWAS initiative accepts that the burden of a no-flight zone will assist with controling the junta's impact and block any expected partners from offering ethereal help, even as heads of the military coup fear that the local body could organize an unavoidable military intervention in the capital of the Sahel country.
