Gunmen thought to be hijackers have k!lled a pastor of the Reclaimed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Ogun State and kidnapped seven worshippers.
The Ogun State So-Safe Corps Commandant, Soji Ganzallo, who affirmed the episode to newsmen said his officials have since saved the seven church members and ki!led one of the criminals during a salvage activity.
In a proclamation made accessible by the So-Protected Overseer of Data and Advertising, Moruf Yusuf, Ganzallo was cited as saying that the occurrence happened at around 12 am.
The statement read;
“The special operation team of the Corps, Owode-Egba Zonal Command, under ACC Jimoh Rasaki Omoniyi, received a distress call that some of the members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Desires of Nations Parish, under Ogun Province 22, Abule-Ori in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area were attacked during a vigil; seven members of the church were k!dnapped and the pastor k!lled,”According to him, officers of the Corps were charged to go after the suspects to rescue the victims unhurt, stating that “the officers swung into action immediately.”Ganzallo further uncovered that the endeavors of the corps yielded a positive outcome as "the seven casualties were saved safe, while one of the hijackers was killed and a considerable lot of the suspects supported serious injury during a fire trade."
He added that the group of the police and the So-Protected Corps working together were after the escaping thought hijackers to catch them alive.
He noticed that the body of the dead hijacker had been stored in a close by funeral home.
