Civil society groups under the aegis of the Edo Civil Society Organisations have rampaged of Benin City, the Edo State capital, in challenge the new hike in fuel costs.
They strolled through some street and denounced the increment and the significant expense of governance in Nigeria.
The protesters are provoked by what they portrayed as an addition in the cost of petroleum in the midst of penury.

The Federal Government has called for persistence and said allots were being attempted to facilitate the agonies occasioned by the endowment expulsion.
“As a government, we have heard your cries about fuel price increases, and be rest assured, we are working round the clock to normalize & bring solutions that ease the pain,” the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume, said late Sunday. “Our job is to give you the quality of life you deserve when you wake up. So far, we are on course.”
