A day after joining the club in China, an eight-year-old boy allegedly was beaten to death by his martial arts instructor.
According to his mother, he was covered in bruises, particularly on his legs.
The boy was reportedly beaten by his teacher and taken to the Third People's Hospital in Chenyang, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to records obtained by the Chinese newspaper The Paper, his heart had stopped beating 20 minutes prior to his arrival at the hospital.
Three individuals connected to the club have been captured, remembering the couple for charge and a mentor, as per The Chenyang part of Qingdao's Public Security Department.
The club is currently inactive and investigations continue.
A video saw by The Waterways Times showed a kid wearing an orange Shirt with the name of the combative techniques club on the back.
As a woman's voice could be heard saying, "He collapsed to the floor." According to The Straits Times, "Your mother has told me she will not pick you up for one year if you keep doing this."
The boy's father, Mr. Zhai, received a video of his son around 11 a.m. on June 18 and noticed that he appeared "unusually pale."
The coaches were criticized by his mother for not bringing him to the hospital sooner.
