After being grilled for ten hours, Samuel Ortom was released by the EFCC (Details)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted Samuel Ortom's request for his release as the former governor of Benue State.

After being grilled for ten hours, Samuel Ortom was released by the EFCC (Details)

On Tuesday, June 20, Ortom arrived at the agency's Makurdi zonal office around 10:00 a.m. Terver Akase, his media assistant, and Abraham Kwanhgu, his principal special assistant on special duties, were with him.

After Ortom handed over a debt profile of N187.7 billion to the Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia administration, he was questioned about how much money Benue spent while he was governor.

The former governor was seen leaving the EFCC office at 7:55 p.m. in a sports utility vehicle, or SUV, with some friends and associates who had waited patiently for him at a nearby hotel. He had spent the entire day at the Commission.
