Asari Dokubo makes a shocking revelation: "Nigerian military are behind 99 percent of oil theft in the country." (Details)

Asari Dokubo, a prominent leader in the Niger Delta, has asserted that the Nigerian military is to blame for 99 percent of the country's oil thefts.

After a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu in his office on Friday, Dokubo made the claim.

He stated that the President has promised to investigate claims of massive oil bunkering by powerful naval commanders and to take decisive action to stop the shameful act.

Dokubo went on to say that Abuja is home to powerful cabals, and he promised that these powerful forces would soon be defeated and that a lot of people would march to Kuje.
He has offered to use his boys to help stop the evil and do what needs to be done.

The former militant leader argued that ordinary citizens of the Niger Delta, who are frequently blamed for oil theft, are not to blame because they lack the means to commit such sophisticated theft.

He claims that the oil thieves' criminal behavior has deprived the people of the Niger Delta of their livelihood, which constitutes a crime against humanity.

Dokubo also claimed that the military's claim that they do not have enough weapons to deal with insecurity is a form of extortion. He claimed that the military had forfeited their weapons to the insurgents, which had continued to fuel the insurgency.

As of the time this report is being written, Channels Television has reached out to the military for a response.
