Arsenal has increased their offer for Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz to £60 million.

After Chelsea turned down Arsenal's initial offer of around £50 million last week, Mail Online reports that the new package is believed to be worth a guaranteed £55 million and an additional £5 million in bonuses.

In an effort to agree on a price for the German international, Arsenal and Chelsea have continued their discussions. Over the weekend, the discussions picked up, and now a new verbal offer has been made.

Arsenal wants to close a deal quickly and has settled on a lot of personal terms already.

Havertz will be offered a drawn out agreement worth at least £210,000-per-week. Chelsea must now agree to sell Havertz for £60 million; the asking price ranges from £70 million to £75 million.

According to reports, Arsenal considers Havertz to be a must-win target due to his versatility.

Havertz joined Chelsea in 2020 and has been a consistent starter for the club's last five managers.

However, it is believed that Havertz is focused on securing a transfer, despite the fact that the Blues are willing to look into extending the player's current contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2025.
