Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has urged Anambra natives who live in Lagos to return home and invest in their own interests, stating that the state is prepared for business.
Tending to them during a municipal event in Lagos, the lead representative advised them that God didn't commit an error by making them Anambra individuals.
The governor stated, "We have a responsibility to leave Anambra State better than we met it, and your host will never respect you if you don't have a livable and prosperous homeland."
He asserts that Anambra State must be transformed from "a departure lounge to a destination," emphasizing the importance of instilling the homeland consciousness in each individual.
Soludo gave the people the assurance that his government is determined to restore Onitsha to its former glory as the largest commercial city in the South East and beyond in order to free the city from its current state of chaos. He also explained that his administration has drastically reduced the threat of killings and kidnappings in parts of the state to the absolute minimum as a result of a security architecture that works.
When compared to what he referred to as "the impunity that held sway" prior to his appointment, he asserted that law and order had been significantly restored in the state. He noted that law and order was the first order of business.
In addition to the over 300 kilometers of roads that are currently under construction, he stated that his administration had recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) to supply electricity to the state round-the-clock.
However, he urged individuals who wanted to work with his government to establish an Independent Power Plant in the state to do so.
