A Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State's capital, has ordered the remand of skit creator Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, more commonly referred to as Trinityguy, in prison over an accusation that he sexualized a minor in a skit video that went viral.
According to a statement released on Friday by the Oyo State Police Command, the skit's creator and the child's parent were questioned by the Command and were scheduled to appear in court on Monday (today).
Oldare Adebayo, the defense attorney for the defendant who was brought before the magistrate by the police, asked the court to grant his client bail in his appearance before the magistrate.
While rejecting the bail application, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi stated that the state Ministry of Justice is currently investigating the Skit maker's allegations.
In addition, the court ordered that Trinityguy and the little girl's parents be remanded until the next sitting.
As a result, the court was postponed until July 11.
